The BC-1000Plus Body Composition Monitor offers consumers the ability to wirelessly link data to remote displays, such as a personal computer. In addition to weight, body fat percentage, and hydration levels, the BC-1000Plus Body Composition Monitor provides measurements on muscle mass, overall physique rating, daily caloric intake, metabolic age rating, bone mass, and visceral fat. The BC-1000Plus also comes equipped with Athlete Mode, which was developed to provide a more accurate reading for athletic body types. Athletes tend to be physiologically different then standard adult body types, due to muscle mass and hydration level difference. These differences would skew the body fat reading as high, when taken in the standard adult mode. 

An athlete is someone who:

• Engages in intense physical activity for approximately 12 hours per week, or more
• Belongs to a sports team or a sport organization that competes

The BC-1000Plus has no display and will communicate with your computer and Tanita's new Healthy Edge Plus Software (sold separate) to wirelessly transmit these 15 readings within seconds after stepping on the platform. When in range of a consumer's computer, the information is automatically transmitted to the computer using the Wireless ANT+™ USB Stick (included) and captured with Tanita's FREE Healthy Edge Lite Software (included). You can also use the BC-1000Plus with an iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch with the optional Tanita Wi-Fi Network Adapter (sold separately) and the FREE Tanita Healthy Edge Mobile App (limit 4 users and each user must have own device with App). 

The wireless interface protocol enables ultra low power applications ideal for fitness and health monitors and offers all the benefits of digital wireless communications with much lower power consumption than other wireless protocols. This platform features serial number pairing enabling you to connect to a specific platform when 2 or more are present in close proximity.
